Just prior to the Covid-19 madness i defended my PhD thesis in Musicology at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Abstract). Many thanks to my supervisors Peter Wicke and Holger Schulze as well as everybody who supported me on this intense journey. Furthermore i want to show my respect to every researcher accepting the challenge of creating knowledge meeting scientific quality standards and investing lots of blood, sweat and tears in their work, frequently without any kind of appreciation. With the rise of media confusion, misinformation and right-wing scare tactics, you are, more than ever, the real heroes.
My work on the influence of brands and advertising on popular music culture is scheduled for publication in October 2020.
